Traffic-quality intelligence

Know which clicks are real.

Kilo Trace classifies every click at the moment of redirect - datacenter, VPN or proxy, likely human - and shows you the split per link, per sub-ID, per campaign. No pixel, no script. The link itself does the measuring.

Free tier includes click-quality classification on your own links. No card required.

Why this exists

A click is not a visitor.

Every link tool on the market counts a datacenter hit, a link-preview bot, and a human being as the same thing: one click. Then the industry bills, pays out, and makes budget decisions on that number.

If you buy traffic, you're owed the split. If you sell traffic, the split is your proof. Kilo Trace writes a quality verdict on every single click as it passes through the edge - so "12,480 clicks" becomes "8,861 likely human, and here's where the rest came from."

The click quality panel

Every link gets a verdict breakdown.

This is the panel you get on every Kilo Trace link - no setup, no tagging plan, no code on your site.

Sub-IDs show you which source is rotten.

Append a sub_id to any link - one per placement, partner, or post. Kilo Trace breaks clicks and click quality down per sub-ID, so when one source runs 41% likely-human while the rest run 80-plus, you know exactly which invoice to question.

What ships today

Built like infrastructure, priced like a tool.

  • Click-quality classification

Every click is classified at the edge: datacenter, VPN or proxy, likely human - per-link and per-sub-ID breakdowns, on every plan including Free. On Pro, you can also turn on per-link blocking of high-confidence datacenter and bot traffic: opt-in, off by default.

  • Routing rules at the edge

Route by country, region, or city; by device and OS; weighted A/B splits; scheduled campaign windows; group-level destination overrides. Rules evaluate in the same ~50 ms redirect.

  • Analytics you can hand to a client

Clicks by country, city, device, referrer, and time. Trends over time. Shareable read-only reports for any link or group - send a URL, not a CSV.

  • API-first, actually

REST API with an OpenAPI spec and scoped keys. Our own dashboard is a client of the same public API - there is no private endpoint we keep for ourselves.

  • Your domain on every link

Bring your own domain, verified by a DNS TXT record, or claim a branded subdomain. Your links carry your name, not ours.

  • Links that never 404

A paused link resolves to a branded page - never a dead end. Printed, posted, or paid placements keep pointing somewhere sane, whatever happens to the plan behind them.

One link, many destinations

Decide the destination at the edge.

Geo, device, weighted splits, and time windows evaluate inside the redirect itself - on Cloudflare's network, in roughly 50 ms. No client-side bounce, no flicker page.

Your own domain

Run your links on a domain you control.

A shared link domain is a shared reputation: one bad actor on it and everyone's clicks pay for it. Put your tracking links on your own domain instead - you own the trust, the deliverability, and the brand your traffic sees.

Reputation isolation
Your domain, your standing - never dragged down by a shared host on a blocklist.
Deliverability
Links under your own name survive filters and ad-network review that flag generic shorteners.
Verified in minutes
Bring your own domain and confirm it with one DNS TXT record, or claim a branded subdomain.

How it works

Three steps, no code.

  1. Create a link.

Paste a destination, pick your domain or ours, add routing rules if you want them. Takes under a minute.

  2. Share it anywhere.

Ads, newsletters, bios, QR codes. Append a sub_id per placement so every source reports separately.

  3. Read the split.

Every click redirects in ~50 ms and gets a quality verdict - datacenter, VPN or proxy, likely human - written to your dashboard as it happens.

Every destination is scanned automatically, and anyone can check a Kilo Trace link before clicking - append + to any link or use the public verify page.

FAQ

Straight answers.

What does the free plan actually include?

A working tier, not a demo. You get click-quality classification on every click of your links, core analytics, sub-ID tracking, and the never-404 guarantee. Exact link capacities are shown in the dashboard before you commit to anything. No card required.

How does click-quality classification work?

When someone hits your link, the redirect resolves at the edge and we classify that request in the same pass - using network and request signals available at click time - into datacenter, VPN or proxy, or likely human. It's written per click, asynchronously, so the redirect itself stays at roughly 50 ms. There is no pixel and no script on your destination page.

Do you block bots and datacenter traffic?

Now you can, if you want to. Classification is always on - every plan sees the datacenter / proxy / human split. On Pro and up you can additionally switch on blocking for a single link, off by default: high-confidence datacenter and known-bot traffic then gets a verification page instead of your destination. VPN and proxy traffic stays labeled, not blocked - much of it is real, privacy-conscious people, and we'd rather show you that number than guess wrong. It isn't a fraud guarantee; it's the transparent split, plus an optional filter for the clear-cut cases, with both numbers still in front of you.

What are sub-IDs and how do I use them?

A sub_id is a parameter you append to any Kilo Trace link - one per placement, partner, creative, or post. The dashboard breaks down clicks and click quality per sub-ID, so you can compare sources directly and spot the one that's sending you machines instead of people.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Bring your own domain - ownership is verified with a DNS TXT record - or claim a branded subdomain. Either way your audience sees your name on the link.

Is there an API?

A REST API with an OpenAPI spec and scoped API keys. The Kilo Routes dashboard is built on the same public API you get - if the dashboard can do it, your integration can.

What do you store about the people who click?

Never a raw IP address, anywhere. IP-derived data is hashed with a rotating pepper before anything touches storage. You get aggregate analytics and quality verdicts; we don't keep a trail back to an individual.

Put one real link through it.

Create a link, share it where you already share links, and read the split tomorrow. The free tier is enough to find out whether your traffic is what you think it is.
